chinese adoptee collective (cac) publicly and unequivocally denounces the recent murders, violence, and terrorization inflicted by the u.s. immigration and customs enforcement (ice). we demand congress refuse any more funding for dhs and pass the protect adoptees and american families (paaf) act now. cac recognizes the nation modernly known as the united states of america occupies the unceded territories of hundreds of indigenous tribes and no one is illegal on stolen land #abolishice #iceouteverywhere

an estimated 45,000 people internationally adopted to the u.s. do not possess u.s. citizenship – this is largely due to a loophole in the child citizenship act of 2000 – and in october of 2025, ice detained a person who was adopted simply because they believed her passport wasn’t “real” and her family name didn’t “look like” her.
